Introduction of Core Facility Center

Introduction

The Core Facility Center at SKLCUSA is dedicated to supporting research in molecular biology and agriculture by providing top-tier technical assistance and shared equipment services to researchers. Established in 2008 situated within the east campus of Guangxi University, the center serves not only the local research community but also offers a wide array of services geared towards fostering advancements in the field.

Equipped with more than 50 cutting-edge instruments encompassing a diverse range of research and support equipment, the CFC caters specifically to the needs of molecular and cellular biology research at molecule, cell and tissue levels. Among the array of instruments available are notable offerings such as Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM), Transmission Electronic Microscope (TEM), Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope (LSCM), Liquid Chromatography with tandem Mass Spectometery (LC-MS), Gas Chromatography with tandem Mass Spectometery (GC-MS), Flow Cytometers (analyzers/sorters), Droplet Digital PCR System, Real time PCR Instruments, Biomolecular Imaging Systems, and various other advanced tools essential for graduate student research.

Services

The CFC extends a spectrum of services including facilitating instrument setup, experimental design consultations, data analysis, as well as hands-on training on instrumentation and software. Moreover, the center hosts seminars featuring distinguished speakers to enhance knowledge dissemination. Shared resources such as manuals, standard operating procedures, and information on emerging technologies further augment the collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment at the facility.
